Okay, two non-profit journalist groups, The Center For Public Integrity and The Fund For Independence Journalism studied databases and came out with a headline that Bush and his aides made 935 false statements leading up to the war with Iraq – Bush made 232 erroneous statements, but the way Bush says things, you can never be sure he has even digested his own words. Our president speaks funny. He thinks he is meant to be taken seriously, but somehow, you watch him flub up and you shake your head and go, what the Hell? Gomer Pyle meets Norm Crosby meets Washington DC. Here’s Bushism that concerns me,
“I trust God speaks through me. Without that, I couldn’t do my job.”
Statement made Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, Jul. 9, 2004
I wish those groups would make the database to go back and see how many times he invoked God and used him as a ‘wing’ man for going to war. And even if he used that excuse once, it’s a big big excuse to tell people we are going to “Shock and Awe” a lot of innocent people into death and submission for God’s will, kinda exactly like Bin Laden might be thinking…
These days God must be getting back at G.W. Bush for taking his name in vain and using it to promote a war based on lies. Things just keep getting worse for poor first son, Georgie boy. To use God as an excuse to attack his daddy’s nemesis, Saddam, lame!
Dick Cheney, Rummy, Rice, Powell, and two press secretaries all made lots and lots of false statements, wonder if the wheels of impeachment can drive any faster? What I don’t get is how those groups ignored other Bush lies like how he would bring a “leaker” to justice for anyone who put out Valerie Plames name, okay Cheney and Rove aren’t in jail and they committed treason outting a CIA operative. How about the lies they used telling us they didn’t spy on us, or that they didn’t torture? Why aren’t those groups reaching further into the ‘perpetual lie closet’ in the Oval Office, it’s stacked and stacked with ‘untruths’ going beyond reasons and into treason to attack Iraq.
When will God finally speak some straight talk to someone in the Justice Department and say, “impeach that damn fool – I’m tired of hearing that SOB quote me, I never told him shit, he was probably drinking again, he always talks to me when he’s drunk, but I never answer him, what good does it do anyway – man has free will and his daddy has the bucks to buy him what he wants, like public office. Please feel free to impeach him and that tyrant Cheney too. I can’t think of two more corrupt violators of mans laws. they could use some retribution, and a nice long stay in the poky might make them refocus on the true meaning of one of my Ten Commandments, “thou shalt not lie!” (Whoops, I’m having a GW/Mike Huccabee, God
speaks to me moment.) Sorry.
And where exactly are the Democrats on all these lies? Probably still have their heads up their butts calling their stockbrokers all day to short stocks.
This report is just the beginning. Even though Bush acts like a dunce and can’t speak correctly, it does not give him an excuse to act like a fascist. But apparently 235 lies is maybe just a nominal amount as presidents go, look at Clinton, he “never had sex” with Monica, but the GOP didn’t stand for that ONE lie, no siree, he lied lied lied and that wasn’t tolerated –they wanted him out of office and almost impeached him fully. Not our Bush, he gets a break because the GOP still have enough control over Congress, so Bush can continue his lying ways and the party of morals will just let it slide. Wouldn’t it be nice if one of the GOP would call this headline to the attention of his fellow party mates and say we might have a problem! No, lying about sex is dirty, an impeachable offense, God is nice, war is good. Since George W. Bush and his Bushisms have come into out lives, maybe we are all kind of confused about what he really says… I have included a couple more of his Bushisms below. But even with his horrible grasp of English, a lie that has killed and maimed so many people and brought our economy to ruins is a lie that the GOP and Democrats should make note of, even if God won’t do it…
