The first rule of ‘Olympic Table Tennis Fight Club’ is to only fight itself…

I was watching the Olympic table tennis championships today and laughed my ass off when they said that we, The USA had never won at table tennis, it was always the Chinese.
So if you notice, the whole USA table tennis team is Chinese! The announcer said they actually had to even import players from China to do practices.
So the strategy is, if we, the typical USA athlete can’t compete with China for table tennis, then we must build and import a competitive team…from China to beat them at their own game…SAY WHAT….

  • The practice of importing athletes is actually pretty common. (especially with some of the smaller countries) Though it’s common, I still don’t think it’s right.

  • Beat China at their own game, huh? Maybe we are trying to do that in another area, too. They have scads of cheap labor to work in their factories. We open the flood gates to cheap labor from Mexico. Ha! Beat them at their own game. Now we don’t have to send our chickens to China to be plucked.

  • ^^ haha… I think instead of trying to import players. Why don’t USA try to study chinese players and train hard instead of hiring chinese people to fight their own country’s pride? I think import thing though its legal is kind cheating or raising the white flag saying that chinese are the best and instead of fighting them why don’t we hire them to compete with their own kind.
