From Associated press today: The president also will defend his record, Perino said, but will show graciousness toward Obama and not attempt to revisit the old battles of his presidency. Bush will speak in prime time, at 8 p.m. EST. The White House has requested airtime from the major television networks.
What’s the point? He will be telling us Bush legacy propaganda of how he is leaving us off so much better than before, (maybe he is better than before retiring in his $2million dollar digs.)

I couldn’t stop myself. I tuned into W’s “Ultimate Exit Interview” press conference. It’s like being told not to look a really bad traffic accident.
At times he was so fatuous, so inappropriately antic, you wonder if he every really quit drinking. There is a hint of arrested development in his responses.
But we elected him twice. With help from the Florida Board of Elections the first time, granted.
We followed an empty suit willingly, our eyes wide open. Thank god W’s teeth are pulled and ground to dust.
